Flying Squirrel Pizza
Tonight for dinner we headed down the road to Flying Squirrel Pizza, which was packed! We grabbed a table in the bar (as the dining room was full) and relaxed and enjoyed people watching and chatting while waiting a surprisingly short amount of time (given how busy they were) for our food.
We went for one of the seasonal specials: the Lightnin' Hopkins pizza, and got some warm olives, too.
As always, the staff were the epitome of what you want a server to be: friendly and attentive and warm. Flying Squirrel is a place you actually feel welcome and wanted. Although not a Hawaiian restaurant, the word that comes to mind is Aloha - and it (along with great pizza) keep us going back.
