Midge & Milo's Birthday Dinner

Tonight we drove down to Kent/Federal Way and celebrated my fiance's sister's 42nd birthday, as well as his nephew's 5th birthday. My mother-in-law to be cooked up a great feast of steak, potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, bread and a new seafood entree for the pescatarians in the family. It was a scallop & shrimp dish, featuring cream sherry.

It was very tasty, as were the potatoes (also a new recipe). And for dessert, we enjoyed some delicious red velvet cake courtesy of one of my fiance's other sisters. It was store bought, but everyone agreed it was amazingly moist and delicious. As always, it was a great way to spend an evening, catching up with everyone, and sharing a great meal.
