SPAM Musubi

We've been talking about making SPAM Musubi for dinner for some time, but finally decided to make it a reality tonight. SPAM is hugely popular in Hawai'i (since it was introduced during WWII), and the food culture of Hawai'i is all about mixing cultures from all over - either on a plate, or in fusion dishes. SPAM Musubi is essentially sushi made with seasoned, fried spam, furikake, and sushi rice wrapped up in nori (seaweed).

By some crazy coincidence, Dan turned on Public Access during dinner, and it was a Hawaiian show based out of Seattle, and they did a cooking segment on how to make SPAM Musubi. Crazy.
