Olympia Pizza

Our meal plan this week left tonight open. After planning the next 7 days of meals on paper, we decided to go out for pizza. Trouble is, seems lots of restaurants are closed on the night after Christmas in a town buried in snow. We called around, and found that Olympia Pizza, in our old neighborhood, was open.

Thanks to our snow tires, we made it safely off Beacon Hill, down to Capitol Hill (which hardly seems like a hill in comparison), and busted through the piles of snow to park.

I was feeling a meaty mood, so we went for the house special - pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Italian salami, mushrooms, olives, green peppers, and Italian sausage. It ran about $18 for a medium pie. Some people complain their pizza is too cheesy, but I like the way the cheese is cooked to a crisp, browned crust that holds all the toppings in. I also like that they don't drown the pizza in sauce.
