Calzones

Dan picked up some pizza dough at QFC this week from a local company called East Coast Dough Co., and tonight I portioned it into 4 pieces, rolled them out, and filled them to make some calzones for dinner and lunch tomorrow.

I used some leftover marinara from the freezer, along with garlic paste to coat the rounds of dough, then piled on some leftover Italian sausage from Skagit River Ranch, some amazing bacon made by our friend Gerald, Mozzarella from Samish Bay Creamery, red onions, and both spinach and kale from our own garden. After about 12 minutes in the oven, they came out golden and piping hot. We both gobbled them down and I'm looking forward to enjoying the other one for lunch soon.
