Columbia City Tree Lighting Post-El Sombrero

While we were eating at El Sombrero tonight, a Santa Clause popped in. We couldn't hear what he was talking about, but our waitress told us that there was going to be a tree-lighting ceremony across the street.

Not quite as big as the Downtown iteration, but similar in style, Columbia City has a 'tree' of lights strung up above the florist at the corner of Rainier and Ferdinand, and they had a crowd of folks singing carols and awaiting the lighting. We got cold waiting, then just as we turned to walk to the car, they began the countdown, so we got to see the lights turn on.

Fun to get to see it happen. And my shrimp fajita taco salad wasn't half bad, either.
