Last Day of Vacation
Today was our last day of vacation before we both head back to work. We decided to keep the spirit of Aloha going by having lunch at Luau. Unfortunately, Luau isn't open until later on Mondays. So we switched gears and headed to the closest Hawaiian restaurant - Hawaiian Breeze, in Wallingford.
I ordered the Tofu Katsu ($8.95), which appropriately came with two scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad - as well as a couple dipping sauces.
The place was super busy at lunch. We almost couldn't get a table. While we waited for our food, we flipped through some books from their bookshelf, and enjoyed the music and videos of Hawaiian artists on the big screen TV. They don't have cocktails (just beer and wine), but I had a tropical iced tea, which quenched my thirst almost as well as a pina colada from Luau would've.
