Belated Father's Day Dinner

Since our families where otherwise occupied with our wedding on Father's Day this year (we didn't realize it was so early this year!), Dan's family decided to still celebrate with a belated event down at his sister Jennifer's place.

Their home is on Lake Tapps, and right on the water. We were the first ones there, and just kicked back with a couple beers on the deck.

The rest of the family arrived, and Jennifer brought out some great caprese salad skewers - which is a great way to serve a dish that's so delicious, but usually sorta awkward to eat. The mozzarella was pre-marinated, so they were extra tasty.

It was a bit of a potluck, with Midge bringing fruit, Lisa bringing some potato chips, and Dan & I bringing a pasta salad with salmon, capers, olives, and all sorts of other stuff.

The main courses were pork, chicken, and some tofurky bratwurst for Tim & I. All of which Matt barbequed up for everyone.

And for dessert, they busted out a triple-berry cheesecake, which was really good - though I was too busy hitting golf balls into the lake to snap a picture.
