Hawai'i General Store 10th Anniversary Breakfast

At the Live Aloha! festival last weekend, we took a lei making class from Ki'apu - who works at the Hawai'i General Store and (along with all the staff there) always has a big welcoming smile and a hug for Dan & I. She let us know that the store was going to be celebrating their 10th anniversary today with a breakfast, music, cake, and a live broadcast of the Hawai'i Radio Connection from the store. It certainly didn't sound like something we could miss!

So we got up extra early, and made it to the store at 8am to hang out, say hi to folks we know (including a couple we met at the festival), listen to music, and eat some great food. They had tons of eggs, rice, and Portuguese sausage, along with some fruit juice and coffee. The music was great, and we only wished we could stay longer. We had to run some errands, and meant to head back when we were done, but I started feeling ill so we headed home.
