A Week of Favorites: Krab Melts



Krab melts became a staple for us thanks to how quick and easy they are to make after a long work day, and because they offer some flexibility of ingredients. We've made them on ciabatta rolls, but this time used leftover onion buns. We often use cheddar cheese, but this time used pepper jack. And we usually include pickled jalapenos, as we did here, to offer a little heat. Sometimes I carefully layer the ingredients on the bun and then broil them, but this time I decided to mix it all together, then pack it onto the buns in a heap - which worked out really well.

To keep it quick, we paired the sandwiches with a pre-fab salad.
