For breakfast this morning, we were out of muffins, out of eggs, but hungry... so I made up some biscuits and a little bacon gravy. I used the same recipe for biscuits that I use for Chicken & Dumplings, but only made half the amount. Since avoiding working the dough is one key to good biscuits, I opted to just cut the dough into quarters, rather than cutting it into traditional biscuit circles.
