Dan's folks invited us over for dinner tonight, and Carolyn made a delicious roast chicken (two chickens, actually) with Provencal herbs, paired with carrots and potatoes. Dan & I worked up an appetite doing some chores around the house, and the work was well worth it.

She included the gizzards and liver with the rest of the chicken, so with my new found appreciation of liver, I dug right in to some of those.

After dinner, she brought out a homemade crumble of blackberries with some ice cream, which was a great end to a long holiday weekend.
