Hawaii Day 10: Final Dinner at Don's

Today was our last full day in Hawai'i, so we treated ourselves to a nice meal at our hotel. It started with some rolls and butter, and some fresh pineapple.

I got the ahi furikake, which was beautiful and delicious. It rested on a bed of coconut rice, surrounded by two sauces (one soy based, one passion fruit based) and lychee fruits. On top are purple sweet potato curls, mostly just for show.

Dan ordered the Huli Huli chicken, which was a huge amount of chicken and apparently really great. It was also topped with some potato curls, and accompanied by some mashers.

For dessert, I had the Okinawan Purple Sweet Potato and Haupia Pie, and Dan went for a Passion Fruit Creme Brulee. Both were good, though I found the whipped cream and chocolate on my pie to be overkill. The sweet potato and haupia were perfect on their own.
